„Hochmair, wo bist du?“ – Live Book Presentation & Performance, Salzburg
A one-woman production capturing the magnetic presence of Jedermann actor Philipp Hochmair as he presents his book “Hochmair, wo bist du?” at Reinisch Top Up Gallery's Art Club in the heart of Salzburg.
No retakes. No staged moments. Just pure, unfiltered performance energy — turned into a cinematic experience.

Role & Scope
End-to-end production — from creative concept and on-location shooting to final edit.
I managed the entire process as a solo filmmaker and director, including camera operation, cinematography, editing, and post-production. The only external collaboration was with PressHouseSound for high-end sound engineering.

Tools & Workflow:
Camera: Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro
Editing: DaVinci Resolve (color grading & edit)
Sound Post: Nuendo, iZotope
Challenges & Solutions
Lighting: Mixed light sources and shifting intensity created significant exposure and color balance challenges. I adapted in real time, adjusting camera settings and framing to preserve atmosphere while ensuring clarity.
Single-Operator Workflow: Managing direction, cinematography, and event coverage alone required efficiency, streamlined workflows and decisive creative judgment.
Live Performance Capture: Working without the option for retakes demanded precision in timing, focus, and movement to capture key moments without disruption.
Creative Approach
Visual Storytelling: Designed a cinematic narrative flow to reflect both the intellectual weight of the book and the theatrical charisma of Hochmair.
Immersive Soundscape: Instead of composing a new score — as I often do for event films — the soundtrack was crafted by PressHouseSound from live music performed during the evening. I recorded it on location in stereo, then it was repurposed and remastered, preserving the authenticity of the performance while weaving its live energy seamlessly into the film’s emotional arc.
Atmospheric Color Grading: Used DaVinci Resolve to create a tone that is moody yet clear, matching the book’s introspective spirit and the gallery’s ambience.
